The Scheduling & Slot Management team is part of the Network Management department and responsible for planning an optimal seasonal flying schedule for both SWISS and Edelweiss taking into consideration commercial and operational requirements.

Our planning range spans from two years out to 8 days prior to departure when the schedule is handed over to Network Operations Control. In addition we also manage both airline's slot portfolios and ensure the timely and accurate schedule publication and distribution.

As part of the Scheduling & Slot Management team you will have the exciting opportunity to contribute to shaping the future networks of both SWISS and Edelweiss.

We are looking for an Aviation Professional who is seeking a long term commitment.

 

Your Duties

·  Initial setup of the schedule by taking into account commercial desires and operational needs while ensuring efficient use of aircraft and crew resources and ensuring compliance with both company and regulatory requirements
·  Constant development of schedule with regard to planned and unplanned maintenance downtimes, updated commercial inputs according to market trends, shortfalls of resources and other measures and projects
·  Initial slot submission and ongoing maintenance of slot portfolios according to IATA deadlines and required by changes in the schedule
·  Potential attendance of IATA Slot Conferences
·  Timely and accurate publication and distribution of the schedule
·  Coordination of schedule changes with all relevant stake holders
·  Communication with operational departments, like technical planning, crew planning and NOC
·  Regular monitoring and analyzing of block times, turnaround and on time performance issues
·  Maintenance of system base data and supporting development and implementation of new IT projects and tools
·  Representation of the department at internal and external meetings
·  Occasional travel required, mainly within Europe

Desired profile

Your profile

·  Several years of experience in the Aviation Industry in an operational/planning role with a commercial interest
·  Previous experience in the area of Scheduling & Slot Management highly regarded
·  Diligent and highly accurate working approach with a high degree of assertiveness, resilience and flexibility
·  Ability to resolve multiple and complex tasks independently and under time pressure
·  Supportive and cooperative team player with excellent communication skills
·  Strong analytical skills with the ability to process and manipulate high volume data
·  Confident in meetings and speaking in front of small to medium size groups of people
·  Fluent in German and English, both verbal and written
·  Basic to intermediate skills in MS Office Suite, advanced Excel knowledge highly regarded
·  Experience with IT systems Netline/Sched, Slot Manager and Sched Connect is an advantage
