Lufthansa Passage offers students (m/f) the chance to experience a dynamic working environment during an internship at the Americas headquarters in East Meadow, NY. All interns (m/f) are fully integrated into the team while working on their own projects as well as supporting the daily business.

We are looking for motivated and proactive students (m/f) who use their knowledge to support our Airline Group & Alliance Department starting at the End of August 2017 for 6 months. Internships are offered only to students (m/f) who are enrolled at university for the whole duration of the internship or in the GAP year.

As part of the North America team, your tasks may include the following:

·  Support management in business development and alliance activities (incl. Star Alliance and Joint Venture)
·  Prepare and develop standard reports and analyses
·  Research industry related trends and developments
·  Perform market, benchmarking and SWOT analyses
·  Support team members on Lufthansa Group integration topics
·  Creation of presentations for local management and analysts
·  Support all local departments by providing data and information
·  Support ad-hoc projects and administrative duties as needed

·  Advanced students in business administration or related studies with strong academic performance
·  Enrolled during the whole period of the internship (please attach the current certificate of enrollment) or internship between Bachelor and Master studies (Gap-Year), more information about Gap-Year you can find here:

·  High affinity to aviation industry in general and airline alliances specifically
·  Strong analytical background (affinity to numbers)
·  Excellent communication and presentation skills; very good interpersonal skills
·  Expert knowledge of MS Office applications, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint (MS Access desirable)
·  Ability to work independently and under pressure with a high degree of accuracy and organization
·  Ability to handle different projects simultaneously
·  Previous experience or studies in the aviation industry preferred
·  International experience (preferred, but not required)
·  Fluency in English and German, other foreign languages of advantage
·  Must fulfill all criteria to get J-1visa for the USA
