Flight Operations Controller (m/f)

Job description

We are looking for an excellent team member who will work for SunExpress Deutschland at our headquarter in Frankfurt.  

 

Your tasks

·  Central control of all flights operated by SunExpress Deutschland in cooperation with other operating departments
·  Coordination of the flight program in close cooperation with the network planning
·  Continuous monitoring of all aircraft movements of SunExpress Deutschland to ensure the best possible assistance in the event of a deviation from the operational flight program
·  Take necessary measures in the event of a technical irregularity and / or weather conditions which require diversion, re-routing, delay or cancellation
·  Contact person of the crews in case of flight operational irregularities
·  Close cooperation with operational departments of SunExpress in Antalya
·  Various administrative tasks in the pre-flight and post-flight phase
·  Introduce measures aimed at optimizing the event of irregularities
·  Assess measures in regards to economic and operational risks
·  Work at the interface between SunExpress Deutschland and Wetlease partners as well as authorities
·  Maintain a close relationship with all relevant departments beyond the field of operations (e.g. Ground Operations, Charter Sales, Maintenance)
·  Prepare the daily OPS Meetings and Management Reports
·  Occasional project work

Your profile

·  Relevant work experience in an aviation operational environment, preferably within an Operations Control Center (OCC) or similar
·  Completed vocational training or studies, e.g. air traffic management assistant or an equivalent qualification with a strong affinity for flight operations
·  A former aeronautical job or flight dispatcher license is advantageous
·  Fluent in English (both written and spoken), additional foreign languages are advantageous
·  MS Office skills and knowledge of airline based IT systems
·  Familiar with ground and flight operations procedures, aviation regulations and aviation-related technical documentations
·  Ability to handle pressure in day-to-day business and during operational irregularities
·  Strong decision making skills and ability to present complex issues precisely
·  Assertiveness and balance in conflict situations
·  Ability to work on own initiative, analytical thinking and good conceptional skills
·  Ability to work shifts (24/7)
