Your challenge Commodity Trading Advisory is a fast growing service within Deloitte’s Risk Advisory business. We are a team of consultants and former traders, analysts and risk managers from leading trading houses that support commodity traders, producers and consumers to respond to changes in their internal and external environments and to manage the risks that they face. Our work is varied ‑ from strategy to governance, risk management and trading systems implementation across the deal lifecycle; as are the markets that we work in ‑ from energy to agricultural/softs and metals. We are one team across London and Geneva, two of Europe’s main trading centres, and work closely with Deloitte’s network of Commodity Trading Advisory teams around the globe as well as the wider Energy & Resources practice across all service lines, particularly Consulting and Corporate Finance. We are currently looking for one or more Consultants (Junior)/Senior Consultants to join the team in our Geneva Office. You will have the opportunity to help drive the future growth of our business and to work with a host of prestigious organisations available through our extensive network. Your profile
- Strong interest in energy and commodity markets and ideally an understanding of the commodity trading deal lifecycle;
- Outstanding academic track record including a master’s degree in a relevant subject;
- Between 1 and 4 years consulting experience / a minimum of 1 year’s consulting experience for the Consultant position or 2 years’ experience for the Senior Consultant position (whether internships or full-time positions);
- Additional experience gained from the commodity trading industry or financial services is preferred but not essential;
- Excellent English skills, written and spoken (native or equivalent level) and ideally fluency in French and/or German;
- Inquisitive, independent and accurate method of working;
- Strong analytical skills and ideally experience of modelling within the commodity market (fundamentals, transactions, risk etc);
