Job Details

Member of a Global team that is responsible for the Design, Development and Support of the DTT End User Computing Architecture and for aspects of server application deployment.  This includes a Global Framework solution for Windows Operating Systems and applications which has been used to deploy 50+ thousand laptops.

Responsible for all aspects of application packaging on a Microsoft Windows Laptop platform producing both standard MSI packages and also virtualized packages using technologies such as Microsoft App-V. Packages will be delivered for the Laptop platform through either automated build processes or post-build setup procedures. This incumbent is responsible for assisting in the creation and maintenance of application packaging standards and the build, test and publishing of application packages.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities Include:

·  Work as part of a team responsible for the definition of strategy for End User Technology Architecture.
·  Define global application packaging standards, best practices, do’s and don’ts as appropriate to enable consistent application delivery to both server and laptop platforms. 
·  Responsible for packaging applications to DTT standards and includes: MSI Creation, ICE Validation, Conflict Analysis and Unit testing.

Job Description

·  Proven record in integrated approach to large applications and technology platforms design, architecture and implementation.
·  Good knowledge of development life cycle. Awareness of phases such as requirements definition, system design and testing / QA and transition to production.
·  Thorough knowledge and understanding of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office.
·  1-2 years application packaging background with preferably experience in Installshield application packaging tool suite and other relevant Microsoft development tools such as VB script.
·  Working knowledge of Microsoft App-V technology.
·  Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with management, business teams and IT teams is a requirement.
