The Customer Experience Engineering Data Team delivers next-generation BI and analytics enhancements on our existing platforms for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software and data transformations  for delivery on a bespoke solution — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the design and development activities associated with methods for validating software systems and broader solutions. Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and test tools, and completes validation specifications and procedures for new and changes to existing products. Plans the schedules, resources and software required for validating and evaluating our solutions.

Principal Accountability:

·  Develops and documents test plans and test cases for newly developed or current software and solutions products
·  Develops test tools and automation for in use testing
·  Test execution, and reports results to development engineers and leadership
·  Creates test plans that include resource requirements, schedule assumptions and scope based on inputs from the Development and data team
·  Provides the data team with a High Level Test Strategy and comprehensive test plan for new software changes
·  Oversees the execution and reports the results of product validation on new software and solutions products Interfaces with external validation partners to develop comprehensive test plans and tests coverage across multiple test organizations
·  Manages and reports on test deliverables and test execution for releases

Key Responsibilities:

·  Creates test plans and test cases (including automation) based on inputs from the feature specifications
·  Works with designers and technologists to determine test requirements and writes test cases, test plans and develops test tools for test projects
·  Develops risk management plans based on all information available to determine technical and logistical risk to completing test activities as planned
·  Manages daily execution of test plan
·  Reports test execution progress and issues to the engineering team, and manages the issues from creation to closure
·  Works with Development to resolve product issues discovered during test
·  Executes test automation scripts, Identifies opportunities for increased use of test automation

Essential Requirements:

·  Solid understanding of software system architecture
·  Solid understanding of software interactions, and able to apply this understanding to resolve issues
·  Able to easily achieve mastery of new tools, languages and operating systems
·  Proficient in reading and understanding technical data sheets
·  Proficient in writing test automation scripts
·  Typically requires 2+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent experience
