The Technical Alliance Manager serves as a trusted technology advisor to the Dell Boomi Technology Alliances team, Business Development, Product Management, Engineering, and Sales– providing support and guidance that enables strategic partnership development, sales, and customer success. 

The Technical Alliance Manager will be responsible for developing and managing strategic technology alliances with NetSuite and other priority software vendors as required.  The Technical Alliance Manager will go deep in understanding the technology strategy, direction, and product capabilities of assigned partners; help Boomi define and implement the best technological path to maximizing the value of Boomi’s platform for customers of the partner’s platform; support Boomi GTM strategy development and execution; and actively evangelize Boomi in the market.

Role Responsibilities Include:

·  Be the technology thought leader for assigned partnerships
·  Maintain a deep understanding of the partner’s business and technology vision and strategies
·  Initiate, develop, and maintain long-term relationships with technically-focused staff at partner organizations, in support of Boomi’s business goals with partners
·  Support the development and execution of technical partnership strategies and initiatives—including performing discovery, needs gathering, and requirements analysis/definition through prospects, partners, and customers
·  Develop rich understanding of, and ability to, articulate key competitive value propositions for Boomi over primary competitors
·  Lead the internal/external execution of technically-focused initiatives such as new solution development and certifications
·  Collaborate with Product Management, Solutions Development, Engineering, Product Marketing, Presales, Professional Services, and other teams pertaining to product enhancements, new solutions or functionality specific to partnerships
·  Act as the technical SME for partnership GTMs, and proactively evangelize partnerships
·  Work across the Boomi business to garner the appropriate resources: people; collateral; positioning; use cases; best practices; etc. to ensure alliance technical objectives are being met
·  Participate in customer success and use case discovery and development
·  Conduct architectural/design discussions with integration architects, product, and development teams to maximize overall opportunity in establishing Dell Boomi Platform as the technology of choice and preferred vendor above key competitors
·  Maintain sufficient hands-on skills with Boomi and partner platforms to design or support the design of reference architectures, solution demos, PoC’s, and targeted partner certifications
·  Showcase Boomi technology through events and social media such as speaking at conferences, through webinars, recorded videos
·  Support sales enablement and opportunities in the field; prioritize and report on engagements; document sales engagements in CRM platform

Requirements:

·  5+ years of experience architecting/implementing solutions related to cloud-native enterprise software applications and platforms. 
·  3+ years of hands-on experience and deep understanding of the NetSuite platform.
·  Strong knowledge of enterprise technologies including APIs, ESB, OData, JMS, SOAP, RESTful Web Services, etc.
·  Strong business acumen combined with a deep understanding of complex and highly scalable technical architectures of enterprise applications and a broad understanding of SaaS technologies, and solutions.
·  Ability to clearly articulate the benefits of Boomi and present to all levels of business and technical decision makers, and is technical enough to get into the code/design with internal Product and Engineering leads
·  Strong desire and ability to evangelize partnerships internally and externally
·  Strong cross-group collaboration skills
·  Ability to support sales in the field
·  Must be a self-starter with excellent ability to work independently
·  Estimated 30% travel, included but not limited to partner meetings, conferences, on-site enablement activities

Preferences:

·  Direct experience with some combination of Application Integration, ETL, API Management, Master Data Management, EDI, or Workflow Automation
·  Experience in a similar role
·  Software development experience or skills a plus
