About Business Unit:

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

·  Lead a SRE/PRE team which owns the production BI and Big Data global applications and help in decision making
·  Be an application owner for BI and Big Data applications and focus on continuous improvement.
·  Work on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required, in resolving problems and making recommendations.
·  Work in 24/7 or follow the sun model for a 24*7 global team
·  Work as owner of the processes; identify key offending applications and take proactive steps to stabilize application.
·  Provide clear and regular status updates to Management on critical applications and KPIs.
·  Interact with business partners, data stewards and development partners on regular improvements.
·  Review projects for non-functional requirements.
·  Identify and drive process/application improvements with Business/L3/Dev teams.
·  Use of professional concepts, sound judgment and, company policies and procedures, to solve top and recurring issues.
·  Continuous focus on identifying opportunities for automation and eliminating manual activities.

Essential Requirements

·  Education: Graduation/Post Graduation in Computer Engg/Application
·  Over all 4 - 6 years’ experience in Data Warehousing and Big Data technologies with excellent communication and analytical skills.
·  Good exposure in handling Class I and Class II applications with excellent domain knowledge.
·  At least 3 years’ experience in Informatica and in any RDBMS (preferably TERADATA/GREENPLUM and good exposure on Oracle)
·  Good knowledge on data ingestion using Streamsets/Kafka
·  Hands on experience on UNIX/Linux environment and shell scripting.
·  Exposure to any of the scheduling tools (preferably Control-M) and Service Now.
·  At least 1 year in Lead Role
