Process Development Engineer 2

Job description

Responsible for timely introduction of new products into the manufacturing environment while ensuring the highest levels of quality. Lead product pilot builds for release into production, prioritizes failures and works with factory testing, process and product group to resolve problems.   Leads Engineering Change Management across product life cycles at multiple regional Level. Manages end-to-end order fulfillment database setup and engineering support for a specific product or group of products after transfer from design to mass production. Interfaces with, core team (GOE) and lead APJ and EMEA extended team (Marketing, SCP, Production Control, Process Engineering, Sales/Engineering Order Management, Procurement, Manufacturing Operations, Logistic) for launch & sustaining activities.

•             Ensures factory  achieves Ready to Ship Release and transactions into production / sustaining. Early engage with development to ensure product quality at launch.

•             Drives quality improvements by risk assessment/mitigation eliminating sources of defects in the design, supplier, new product introduction and manufacturing processes.

•             Provides plant support and resolves factory engineering issues.

•             Program manages all New and Sustaining Introductions (full extended team coverage).

•             Provides Engineering/Pilot qualification build management.

•             Provides end-to-end order process, fulfillment and 3PL (merge Centre) enablement readiness.

•             Ensures accurate Bill of Materials and regional specific structure to meet regional requirements.

•             Leads engineering change management implementation on new and sustaining products.

•             Leads a cross-functional Regional Extended Team (Marketing, SCP, Production Control, Process Engineering, Sales/Engineering Order Management, Procurement, Manufacturing Operations, Logistic).

•             Acts as subject matter expert on Excursion Management at fulfilment facilities.

Qualification

·  Bachelor in Engineering (computer science, EE, Automation, Mechanical, IE, Material or related) with 3-5 years of working experience.
·  Good communication skill in both Chinese and English.
·  Better to have some manufacturing knowledge.
