Role Overview

Responsible for global supply planning for their specific platform/commodity area. Ensures sourcing efforts meet business goals and objectives. Engages activities related to global sourcing, supplier selection, product delivery specifications, and quality. Develops and maintains working relationships with global internal/external supply chain partners.

Role Responsibilities

-Works closely with other Global Commodity Managers to ensure product availability at product launch

-Coordinates global supply with regional procurement

-Balances available supply globally against regional requirements

-Works closely with regional buyers to regulate supplier mix of total available market (TAM)

-Assists in managing component transitions globally to minimize excess and obsolete inventory (E&O)

-Works with Global Commodity Managers to perform analysis and identify areas for improvement

-Works with Global Commodity Managers to validate the global demand and recommend demand shipping if required

Desired profile

Requirements

-Undergraduate degree and 2+ years of relevant experience with supply chain/procurement

-Strong data analysis skills

-Strong analytical and problem solving skills

-Solid MS Excel experience

-Ability to roll up data and put together executive presentations

-Ability to learn Dell tools (DISCP, One Cost, Cost Tool)

Preferences

-Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

-Experience working with spend databases
