Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned and passionate Cloud Services engineer to join our Cloud Ops Team here at SecureWorks. We are rapidly expanding our internal operations to include cloud operations and would love your help to take us to new levels in Cloud based security services.

Role Responsibilities

-You will work with developers and other internal teams to build cutting-edge, full application stacks in Amazon Web Services from the ground up.

-You will collaborate with a team whose goal is to integrate the DevOps way of thinking into all of our projects and services.

-You will be looking to embrace new services and tools to aid in bringing projects to a worldwide audience of customers and internal teams.

-You should be a quick thinker, and love to learn.

-You should love being part of a cohesive team. We work well together and are looking for someone else to join those ranks.

As a managed security provider, SecureWorks expects its employees to understand and apply commonly known security practices and possess a working knowledge of applicable industry controls such as NIST 800-53. Employees will be expected to acknowledge their security responsibilities in writing prior to gaining access to company systems. Employees will be required to maintain a working knowledge of local security policies and execute general controls as assigned.

Desired profile

Requirements

-Configuration management experience with Chef (Puppet experience considered)

-Amazon Web Services experience, with great knowledge of:

-Compute

-Storage & Content Delivery

-Networking

-Management Tools

-Security & Identity

-Strong scripting experience in Python, Bash, and/or Ruby

-Continuous Integration experience, including building immutable servers

-Great working knowledge of the Linux shell, in particular Red Hat/CentOS

-Experience managing entire application or web stacks.Ability to work flexible hours and support night or weekend work as needed

Preferences

-Container experience such as Docker

-Familiarity with Vagrant and Packer

-Knowledge of other cloud providers such as Azure or Google Compute Engine

-Experience generating documentation for peers and IT staff

-Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering, or equivalent work experience
