We are currently looking for a talented and driven Backup IT professional to join our Infrastructure Managed Services team as a Delivery Specialist (Backup) to support our customers.  This is an excellent opportunity to work in a growing organization supporting leading edge products.

Description:
The Delivery Specialist Backup Administrator will be responsible for the day to day activities of managing customer’s backup environments, either as part of the Enterprise Cloud Solution or as standalone solutions.  Using VPN to remotely access the customer’s environment, the successful candidate with provide daily Incident, Problem and change management of the backup environment. On call support for out of hours P1 incidents and out of hour change requests will also be required.  The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with existing team members supporting the cloud and backup environments and liaise closely with the customer. 

·  Provides operational support to ensure the availability of the environment meets required SLA’s
·  Attend daily stand up calls
·  Develop continuous improvements pertaining to the backup environment and daily operations
·  Develop SOP’s when required
·  Engage with account architects around the continuous evolvement of the backup environment in an Enterprise Hybrid Cloud Solution
·  Develop and provide reporting and metrics on overall health of the environment

Required Technical Proficiencies:

·  In-depth knowledge of Avamar
·  Knowledge of other backup technologies , NetWorker and Data Domain
·  Experience in VMware administration.
·  Good scripting/programming knowledge such as Perl, Python etc.
·  Good understanding of cloud concepts
·  ITIL Process knowledge

Base Requirements:

·  Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 3 years' experience working in a similar role with a proven track record.
·  Collaborates well with other engineers and other supporting groups
·  Excellent customer service skills
·  Ability to quickly learn new technologies as required and mentor and guide more junior team members of the team
·  Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with excellent written and communication skills
·  Documentation of processes, issues and reports is required from time to time.
·  Participation in customer meetings and weekly operations meetings with the remote teams.
·  Provide support to meet agreed customer SLAs, change and incident management
·  Occasional travel may be required and on call will be required
