About DYMOLA R&D
Dassault Systèmes R&D in Lund is responsible for development and support of the simulation tool Dymola ( www.dymola.com), a world-leading tool for modeling and simulation based on the physical modeling language Modelica ( www.modelica.org).
The Dymola technology enables simulation of the dynamic behavior and complex interactions between systems of many engineering fields, such as mechanical, electrical, thermodynamic, hydraulic, pneumatic, thermal, and control systems. Dymola is also the foundation technology for integration of 3D design and dynamic system simulation in the 3D EXPERIENCE platform through CATIA Dymola Behavior Modeling.
The Dymola software uses many advanced technologies such as compiler technology, computer algebra, numerical analysis, multi-core algorithms, graphical user interface, and 3D graphics.
From November 19 th , 2014, DYMOLA R&D will be located in new facilities on the 9 th floor at Ideon Gateway.

The Position
DYMOLA R&D is now looking to strengthen its team in Lund with a Compiler Technology Expert .
The Compiler Technology Expert will be responsible for further development and maintenance of the Modelica compiler in the Dymola kernel.
The position also involves work within the Modelica Association in order to extend and improve the Modelica language specification.
Good communication and teamwork skills are essential to succeed in this role.
Special topics of interest are: type inference, recursive data structures, generation of efficient code for multiple cores, efficient run-time memory management, and multi-threading of the compilation process.

Profile
Master of Science or PhD degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with a strong working experience focusing on compiler technology.
Technical competences needed
Compiler technology
C / C++ programming
Good English and Swedish skills is needed
Comfortable to work both independently and in a team
Previous experience with Modelica is an advantage
Experience in functional languages is an advantage
