As a SOLIDWORKS Product Definition (PD) Intern, you will work closely with a small team to define the road map for new and upcoming SOLIDWORKS projects specifically related to the fields of product data management (PDM) and product lifecycle management (PLM). 


This is a paid internship available from May through August 2018, located in the Dassault Systemes North American Headquarters, 175 Wyman Street, Waltham, Massachusetts.

What will your role be? 


You’ll be involved with the research and define workflows between SOLIDWORKS PDM and PLM systems. You will work with a mentor from our team who will act as a guide for the required tasks. 


 Your Challenges ahead


Understanding key principles and requirements in PDM and PLM systems. 


Researching and defining workflows between SOLIDWORKS PDM and PLM systems. 
Working with development to prototype different ideas for a connector between SOLIDWORKS PDM and PLM systems. 


Understanding functionality within SOLIDWORKS Explorer and SOLIDWORKS Treehouse and how it relates to the needs of customer workflows.


 Documenting your findings and strategy in our knowledgebase.
Your key success factors


Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree Engineering program for the duration of the internship


Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 /4.0 scale


Works onsite in the Waltham office


Well-developed skills in MS Office--Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint


Experience with 3D modeling, SOLIDWORKS preferred and data management a plus


Possesses polished interpersonal skills, strong self-motivation and maturity


Highly organized person with strong attention to detail


Strong command of the English language, both orally and in writing
