Dassault Systemes SolidWorks Corporation is seeking an experienced R&D SolidWorks API Applications Manager to assist SolidWorks CAD / PDM solution partners and customers with technical programming interface and interoperability issues.
Position DescriptionDescriptif du poste
Fulfill support role by providing front line customer support by answering phone calls and email. Debug client code in various programming languages and development environments. Help customers and partners make the best use of API methods, properties, and events to solve their problems and create their products. Log support calls, enhancement requests, and software bugs as necessary to track customer/partner issues with the software development teams. Investigate and provide alternate API solutions to work around customer programming roadblocks. Host partners and customers locally for in-depth, multi-day problem solving and support sessions. Assist with the COM based API design and testing to further enhance the interface between components and all aspects of the core product, such as drawings, assemblies, data management, system interface and graphics. Fulfill Product Definition role by researching and creating function specifications for API development projects for next software release. Fulfill Quality Assurance role by testing the design and implementation of new API functionality created for new software releases.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related and 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Lead Programmer, Sr. Developer, Software Developer or related occupation.
RequirementsExigences
Applicants must have experience with: One or more of the following programming languages in a Windows environment: C++, VBA, VB.Net, C#; Microsoft Visual Studio integrated development environments; MFC and/or COM concepts; Communicating technical software and/or engineering details with external partners and customers; Application or computer system development which is transferable to CAD application development - for example: CAD or graphics software; Engineering software; Scientific or math software.
