As the Pipeline Pilot Computational Biology Software Development Group Intern; you will add bioinformatics tools to the 3DExperience platform via the Pipeline Pilot Next Generation Sequencing and Sequence Analysis collections. You will also help add several new areas of scientific functionality to the software.





This is a paid internship available for 12 weeks from June - August 2018.  You will be working in the Dassault Systèmes BIOVIA office Dassault Systemes, BIOVIA Corp.  5005 Wateridge Vista Drive, San Diego, CA 92121

What will your role be?





Integrating bioinformatics tools for the Pipeline Pilot Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Sequence Analysis collections





Researching new methods for NGS family analysis and Genome-Wide Association Study (GWAS)





Working with the Quality Assurance team to ensure good automated test coverage of all newly developed functionality





Participating with Product Management and customer-facing teams to contribute ideas for new features and product direction





Creating and presenting a 30-minute summary of your internship achievements

Working closely with fast-paced, cross-functional teams in the dynamic field of computational biology.





Your key success factors





Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, or PhD program for the duration of the internship 





A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 





Previous software development experience







Proficient in a programming language such as C++, Java, JavaScript, R, Python, Perl
