Happy Family Organics is looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager to join our Operations team in our Boise, Idaho office.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position is vital to Happy Family’s continued success and plays a large role in ensuring the company’s goals are met. The primary objective of this role is to analyze and gain a thorough understanding of Happy Family’s warehousing and distribution supply chain to identify gaps in current processes and execute cost saving initiatives. Major responsibilities include root cause analysis, validation, resolution and reporting to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

·  Work closely with all departments within operations and gain a complete understanding of all current functions and processes within the supply chain.
·  Engage with distribution center to gain a full understanding of how current processes affect operational efficiencies and costs at the warehouse.
·  Identify gaps in the process that are costing Happy Family and third parties significant amounts of time and money.
·  Profile and detail all ordering patterns, shipping requirements, customer tendencies and complexities of all customers to identify processes needed to be addressed first.
·  Identify current process issues with the highest impact to our bottom line and execute action plans to correct issues and mitigate costs and chargebacks.
·  Create and present cost benefit analyses to Happy Family management detailing the benefits of implementing the new processes.
·  Create and update KPIs to measure the benefits and cost savings of newly implemented processes.
·  Research and resolve customer deductions, including shortages, product returns, freight claims, and other adjustments taken by customers
·  Through research, identify invalid customer deductions and develop specific reimbursement plans with sales and finance team to recoup any amounts owed and to avoid future invalid deductions
·  Identify deductions trends at the customer level by performing root cause analysis and communicate such trends to management; develop recommendations for the team to review and implement
·  Create and maintain Chargebacks Manual with up to date information pertaining to all accounts.
·  Develop sustainable processes and SOPs throughout the chargeback cycle to ensure efficient and effective disputing opportunities
·  Manage and improve reverse logistics process with Finance, Sales & Customer Solutions
·  Responsible for data accuracy, performance and reporting on periodic audits of the 3rd Party resources, when applicable
·  Work on ad hoc projects including research projects, reconciliation, and process implementation
·  Develop clear and effective SOPs to ensure quality and controls throughout the supply chain
·  Work with QA team and Finance to prepare, review and implement improvement plans with audit findings (DANgo, RQA, Apollo, etc)
·  Report to Happy Family executive team and Danone stakeholders semi-annually on savings realized.

Qualifications & Skills:

·  At least three to five years’ experience working in Supply Chain and/or Operations.
·  Extensive knowledge relating to Warehousing & Distribution processes and common practices.
·  Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or operations preferred
·  Lean six sigma or similar certification preferred
·  Proven record of reducing a company’s expenses and improving efficiencies.
·  Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools with strong analytical skills
·  Proven critical thinker and detail-oriented individual who will analyze all implications of an improvement plan and will see a project completely through to the end.
·  Proven ambitious and self-starting individual who can perform under a hands-off management style.
·  Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
·  Ability to travel as necessary to Happy Family’s distribution center and various customer warehouses.
·  Ability to work in person with and understand processes of third-party distribution centers and customers.
