Job Specification: Test Engineer
Education & Training
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Electronics & Communication/Electrical Engineering or in a relevant stream.
Experience
• 3-4 years of experience in Software Manual and Automation testing.
• Hands-on experience in Manual Testing, Mobile application testing, Web Application Testing with backend testing experience.
• Good knowledge of Appium, Sikuli and Selenium.
• API Testing experience is a plus.
• Experience in automotive industry is a plus (not mandatory).
Skills
• Expertise in Manual testing and working knowledge on Test Automation.
• You should have very good experience in Testing Cross Platform apps and Mobile apps in Mobile Platform (ios or android).
• Should have strong background on Test methodologies and should have Expert level knowledge on different types of testing.
• Deep understanding on automation tools like Sikuli and Selenium.
• Knowledge on Python and Java script.
• Deep understanding in using Bug Tracking systems. Experience with JIRA/HP QC/Bugzilla or similar defect tracking tool(s).
• Deep understanding of Project Life Cycle and Test Life Cycle.
• Excellent verbal/listening and written communication skills.
Job Responsibilities
� Work with QA Lead in Germany/ Japan / India
� Analysing Functional Requirements and Automation Requirements.
� Preparing the test scripts or test cases for all the responsible projects.
� Identifying Test Scenarios, Corner cases and suggesting improvements.
� Documenting the Traceability of Test Cases/Automation Test Scripts w.r.t Test cases and Requirement docs.
� Perform Manual Test Case Execution and document the Test Results.
� Perform Backend testing whenever required.
� Working with Automation team in writing scripts, executing the same and document Automation Test Results.
� Log defects in Quality Center/JIRA and report the progress to Test Lead/ Manager.
� Assist Test Lead/ Manager in capturing and reporting Test Metrics. Provide required support in Analysis of metrics, Test coverage report, root cause analysis and implementation of improvement actions, as necessary.
� Should come up with creative and smart ways of doing work, without compromising on quality.
� Help other test engineers on testing tasks.
� Should be capable of working with different projects on a rotation basis as an when needed.
