Tasks

Risk Management at Daimler Financial Services Headquarter is responsible for risk steering, for providing risk methods and solutions and for setting risk policies and procedures for Daimler Financial Services globally. Within Risk Management, the department Credit Risk Provisioning provides and maintains standardized methods for credit risk reserve setting in accordance with IFRS and supports the monthly calculation of credit risk reserve levels. In addition, the preparation for upcoming new impairment requirements (IFRS 9) with further enhancements of risk data and standardization of the impairment calculation is one of the main projects in the Risk Management area.
Within the team you will be responsible for the monthly retail provisioning process based on the "Delinquency Migration Method (DMM)", focusing on support of the DFS markets in setting and validating parameters for the calculation, maintaining the risk provisioning tool, providing analysis and steering the retail provisioning process internally and externally with the auditors. Within your area of responsibility, you will also be the main interface to regional and local stakeholders.

Your tasks will be:
Presenting provisioning topics to stakeholders across the organization.
Preparation of the Credit Risk Provisioning Committees.
Supporting local entities on all topics related to DMM, especially providing support on the calculation with the DMM tool and analyzing results.
Preparation of regular and ad-hoc analyses about the development of the provisions.
Supporting of the annual central auditing process for the provisioning tool & process.
Support for the global rollout of the new provisioning standard IFRS 9.

Qualifications

Education:
University degree in Business Administration or related areas with focus on Finance

Experience and specific knowledge:
Work experience /internship/ working student within a Bank/ Financial Services company in the area of risk management or a related field

IT skills:
Profound knowledge of MS Excel/Access
VBA skills are an asset

Language Skills:
Fluent in English, spoken & written
Knowledge of German is an asset

Soft skills:
Quantitative skills and enjoying to work with numbers
Good communication skills and ability to explain complicated issues in an understandable way
Enjoying to work in an international and multi-cultural Environment

This is a full-time job., temporary from 01.09.2016 to 30.06.2018
