Tasks
The Daimler IT/H Department supports the Personnel and Communications Departments with innovative IT solutions and IT consulting. The Team HR Help Desk manages (mobile) IT solutions, based on the Oracle PeopleSoft Suite for HR. Customer are the HR Shared Services Organization and the Personnel Departments within Daimler Germany.
Your tasks will be:
The position owner holds or acquires knowledge about standard mobile computing solutions such as Oracle FLUID, REST/JET services, about rapid app solutions like Capriza. Furthermore, he/she has or acquires knowledge about Oracle AWE, Workflow Engine, AAF, Work Center, skill based routing, push mechanisms, search logic (e.g. elastic search). Knowledge about CTI systems (such as Genesys) in conjunction with Peoplesoft is desirable.
Based on this knowledge, he/she identifies appropriate (self) service concepts for the customers and their (self) service needs in HCM system ePeople, Help Desk, GAM, and HRWT. These concepts take into account typical parameters such as effort/cost/benefit, but also new parameters such as speed of solution, feasibility, user-friendliness, and cloud solutions.
He/she is responsible for customer satisfaction on these concepts and implementations.
The position owner is a highly motivated business consultant to the customers. Customers are HR departments incl. Shared Service Centers, Daimler employees, Daimler managers. He/she shall get in touch with the customers to learn about the specific processes that the user groups wish to mobilize, to automate, or to enhance in usability.
He/she will consult them from an IT perspective about technical possibilities, available tools on the market and within Daimler AG, preferable solutions, and possible optimizations of their processes in regard to these IT related factors. He/she shall investigate about cost, effort and benefits of the proposed solutions and agree with customers on an implementation plan.
He/she reports in complete own responsibility on solutions in the multiple respective committees like Business Process Cluster or CROSS team, where he aligns his concepts with the current Daimler strategy.
The position owner will lead projects where necessary. Sponsors within Daimler Group have already approved one project with working title ESS/MSS for ePeople, GAM and Help Desk. The position owner is free but also responsible to set the detailed goal, scope and timeline of this project. Project capacities can hold up to 6 FTE.
Position owner will lead the project according to agile project management methods. He will aim to facilitate short sprints with high transparency and definition of roles on customer and IT side. Furthermore he/she is willing to go for quick wins/fast fails. He will balance individual responsibility and motivation of his team on one side, but also control and goal achievement on the other side.
He/she will implement quickly visible, short-cycled results in this and future agile projects.
The position owner will systematically select the appropriate external partners. Current partners are Iscom GmbH, Hexaware, MHP or Capriza, but he will be both free and responsible to choose new partners if appropriate.
He/she will conduct the ordering and purchasing processes, furthermore management and control of external partners according to current FAK guidelines. He/she will manage this cooperation by setting up implementation plans, creating work breakdown structures, coordinate tasks between the involved parties, control the implementation and report to management / steering committee.
He/she is eager to set up this very complex framework on his/her own account and own responsibility.
The position owner plans, drives and controls the internal communication and cooperation which is necessary for the implementation of his/her concepts.
Internal partners are IT/H Enterprise Architecture Team, Infrastructure Team, Security Team, Data Protection Team, furthermore the Peoplesoft CoC for the PS templates ePeople, Help Desk, GAM and HRWT. Besides, this includes smooth communication with ITC/RD, the Asia Hub of IT/H located in Bangalore, Pune, and Chennai.
He/she introduces adequate methods and mechanisms (WBS, nesfeed, sharepoints etc.) and manages the correct usage by all related parties.
Qualifications
Education:
Higher education degree in IT or Mobile Computing or equivalent
Experience and specific knowledge:
Experience HR or IT business units, preferably within the Daimler AG
Up-to-date mobile computing solutions for (self) services
Oracle Peoplesoft Suite CRM and/or HCM systems, especially concepts for (self) services
HR processes user administration, recruiting, payroll and employee hotlines
Language skills:
Fluent English and German
Soft skills:
Flexibility: The position owner is able to react flexibly to changing environment, teams, demands and tools
Curiosity: He/she wants to learn about new processes, tools and finds interest in testing out solutions
Endurance: He/she can stand ambiguous requirements and steadily finds a way towards solution
