Mercedes-Benz New Zealand has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Intern to join our Mercedes-Benz Cars Marketing Communications team on a 12-month internship.

This is a full-time role based at our Head Office in Mt Wellington, Auckland. This is an exciting internship opportunity to help kick-start your marketing career with a prestigious global brand.

We offer fantastic on-the-job work experience, as well as professional training opportunities to support in-depth development across multiple areas of marketing. Our key areas of focus are digital, campaigns, CRM, events and sponsorships and dealer marketing support. No two days will be the same, and you will find yourself creating content for social media, liaising with marketing agencies on collateral, helping a dealer obtain approval to run a marketing campaign or working on an event.

Reporting to the New Zealand Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for providing all aspects of ongoing support to the Marketing team in New Zealand. Your key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Marketing team in the coordination and implementation of integrated campaign activities

- Supporting the planning and implementation of digital marketing communication activities
- Assisting with the activation of corporate communication activities including media launches
- Assisting the Event, Sponsorship & Marketing Specialist with key events and sponsorship activities
- Coordinating the development and delivery of all Mercedes-Benz Cars collateral in conjunction with creative agency
- Supporting the coordination of our social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram), which can include content creation
- Supporting with Mercedes-Benz Cars website updates and maintenance

- Assisting dealers with understanding and application of the Mercedes-Benz advertising guidelines and conducting dealer advertising approvals.

- Assisting Marketing Manager in day to day administration tasks

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and a passion for the automotive industry. Working in a dynamic, fast paced environment, you will possess a can-do attitude and the ability to conduct yourself in a confident and professional manner.

You will have solid marketing knowledge, and ideally will be a Marketing Graduate or on the last year of your Marketing degree. A driver's license is a mandatory requirement for this role.
