Tasks
For the team Legal Distribution in Stuttgart we are recruiting a legal counsel to help shaping our distribution network structure and contracts, advise our divisions and support the markets in Europe.
The team is part of Legal Distribution and After-Sales and thus part of Daimler Legal, where more than 200 lawyers worldwide provide advice to the groups business in all areas and support the companys success with target-oriented and legally adequate solutions. The team Legal Distribution and After-Sales advises Daimlers Sales, Network and After-Sales departments in all legal topics related to automotive distribution. This includes structuring and managing the worldwide dealer network, drafting and negotiating agreements with fleet customers and public authorities as well as the distribution of digital services for our vehicles.
Your tasks will be:
Responsible and independent advice to Sales, Network and After-Sales departments of Daimler AG and its affiliates.
Draft, analyze, revise and negotiate agreements and general terms and conditions, specifically dealer and service agreements, in German and English language.
Structure business models from a legal perspective.
Monitor the development of the applicable legal framework domestically and internationally.
Manage in and out of court disputes on national and international level.
Qualifications
Education:
Fully qualified lawyer (first and second state law exam in Germany or equivalent qualification from a EU member state)
Experience and specific knowledge:
First professional experience in the areas of civil, commercial and distribution law, ideally in the industry or a business law firm
Language skills:
Excellent written and verbal German and English language skills including full legal terminology; additional language skills desirable
Soft skills:
Ability to work in teams and intercultural competence
Willingness to make decisions and take responsibility
Well-developed understanding of the economic backgrounds
Ability to understand factually and legally complex situations and to comprehensively present them to a non-legal audience
Independent, target-oriented and reliable style of working
This is a full-time job. (also suitable for part-time)
