Tasks

The Mercedes-Benz Berlin Service Center is one of three Mercedes-Benz Bank Group locations in Germany. Centrally located in Berlin near Alexanderplatz, the MB Bank Service Center is responsible for all administrative, non-sales processes related to the financing and leasing products for its commercial customers. This includes for vehicle finance and leasing as well as vehicle insurance. In the future, additional European services will be integrated and more jobs will be created in Berlin-Mitte. In this context, the French Collection team is looking for your support.
The French speaking owner of the position stewards self-responsible under the business scope of the assigned retail customers. The aim is to minimize risks, failures and losses by considering and respecting all internal and external requirements.

Your tasks will be:
Execute after contract termination tasks and decide upon file treatment e.g. debt sale, bailiff or external lawyer treatment.
Negotiate with qualified customers about potential settlements.
Execute day-to-day insolvency handling in order to get the funded vehicles back as quickly as possible and to limit risk to DFS (Daimler Financial Services).
Give direction and follow-up on outsourced relations e.g. bailiffs and lawyers.
Prepare write-off files for approval in the local market.
Support credit analysts and give regular feed back to the credit department (incl. post mortem process).
Support projects relevant to collections.
Give training to new employees.

Qualifications

Education:
(Bank-) Commercial education

Experience and specific knowledge:
Strong legal knowledge in Collection Management
Additional qualification desirable
Very good experience in debt collection, particularly in insolvency law

Language skills:
Excellent knowledge of French/ mother tongue level
English proficient

Soft skills:
Experience in conflict resolution
Communication skills, flexibility, skill full in negotiating, good self assertion
Good teamwork skills as reliable and self reliant way of working

This is a full-time job. (also suitable for part-time), temporary for 12 Month(s)
