EPDM Software Engineer Design & Test

Tasks

EPDM is Daimler's central product data management system for documentation and maintenance of electrical and electronic components and systems data. With EPDM all relevant data along the vehicle development process are provided to the involved organizational units (e.g. R&D units, after sales, pilot factory). The development of the EPDM software releases is performed by an external contractor with a frequency of two releases a year.
The goal for the CoC extension is a consolidation of the current organizational situation and reduction of the different contractors.
- Design and Execution of the test cases
- Reporting of defects found during test execution
- Performing functional testing (Regression)
- Reporting to the MBRDI & DAI Test Manager

Requirement:
• Should have hands-on experience in testing complex software projects
• Should have experience in design and review of test cases
• Exposure to V-Model testing is preferred
• Hands on experience of writing functional and non- functional test cases
• Should have hands- on experience of using ALM tools in medium to complex projects
• Experience on HP-ALM/Quality center & Daimler Engineering know-how is desired
• Know-how of different IT Systems (EPDM, Smaragd, EDLS, DIALOG) supporting Engineering
• Hands-on experience in requirement engineering is an added advantage
• German speaking skill is an added advantage to do the role effectively

Responsibilities :
• Design and execution of test case on specific EPDM software domain
• Record and document results and compare to expected results
• Reporting of defects
• Perform reviews, walkthroughs, or inspections
• Develop competency towards EPDM tool know how
• Recommend improvements in existing methods and process

1.Strong understaning betweend different software testing terminology. (Ex. Regression, Progression, UAT etc.,)
2.Strong know-how and experience in testing activity
3. Hands on experience in any testing documentation tool knowledge (Ex: HP ALM, JIRA, QM CRM )
