With this particular CAReer position, you will launch your future career in the department “Van”:
The innovations of tomorrow require ideas today. Work with us to create and present the next generation of vehicles. Our construction and realization workshopat R&D, acts as an active service provider in technical public relations for the scope of Mercedes-Benz Vans with the aim of ensuring optimal presentation of the product range and the latest internal and external innovative technical features, and the success of the Daimler Group on a worldwide basis. To this end,we work in close cooperation with other R&D departments, production and testing departments.
Your tasks include:
- Coordination of buildup and adaption of press vehicles, focusing on electrical and electronic systems, infotainment and implementation of new technologies such as connectivity, future transportation systems and assistance systems
- Pretesting, evaluation and selection of cars for prospective vehicle tests, as well as planning and realization of vehicle tests after publication
- Internal Coordination within R&D with production facilities, marketing and PR concerning the overall planning and external coordination with agencies regarding fairs and events
- Drawing up and providing explanations about infotainment topics for the media, also during press, marketing and trade fair events or external test drives
- Overall planning of buildup, modification and adaptation of press vehicles, including new vehicle projects, as well as the subsequent use
Qualifications
For the international trainee program CAReer we expect:
- A solid university degree (ideally a Master's degree)
- First professional work experience (18 months are obligatory with a Bachelor's degree)
- Excellent study results
- Several months of experience abroad and international exposure
- Excellent English language skills along with very good knowledge of German

- You have preferably completed or are about to complete a degree in Vehicle technology, Mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, Communications technology, Electrical engineering
- Majors in the area of Electronics development, Assistance systems, Diagnosis are preferred
- Preferably you have already completed an internship in the automotive industry:
