With this particular CAReer position, you will launch your future career in the department “Paint Shop Process”:
We are part of the VAN Production Division located within the factory at Vitoria. We are competent for the production of the Vito Van and V-Class People Carrier. It includes various painting processes, quality assurance checks and aesthetic anticorrosive measures. There are 4 departments in the Paint Shop, and one of them is responsible for the definition and management of production processes prior to top coat along with the paint application process itself.
Your tasks include:
- The main task will be the provision of support for the manufacturing activities with a focus on ensuring conformity with and improvement of existing standards, as well as the development of new standards.
- Parallel boundaries with other teams in the factory (e.g. Quality, Engineering) have to be defined (in terms of jobs, skills and responsibilities).
- The definition and monitoring of indicators which assist the management of our processes in the VITORIA factory.
- Active participation in Daimler Groups get best practices in the group. This will involve travelling to other Daimler plants (Benchmarking Process).
- Collecting know- how in the Daimler Group, among others, in order to contribute to the definition of the 'vision' for a new Paint Shop.
Qualifications
For the international trainee program CAReer we expect:
- A solid university degree (ideally a Master's degree)
- First professional work experience (18 months are obligatory with a Bachelor's degree)
- Excellent study results
- Several months of experience abroad and international exposure
- Excellent English and Spanish language skills along with very good knowledge of German (desired)

- You have preferably completed or are about to complete a degree in Chemicals, Automation engineering, Process engineering or Chemical engineering
- A major in the area of Process optimization, Process engineering or Paintwork, paint application technology is preferred
- Preferably you have already completed an internship in the automotive industry:
