Style and Fashion Writer Internship

Culture Stories is looking for a part-time Styler and Fashion Writer Intern with a keen interest in fashion, style, art, travel and culture. The selected candidate will work in direct contact with the Editor in Chief and Visual Assets Manager and Graphic Designer at Culture Stories. The role entails creative writing and conducting interviews for style profiles. We are looking for a creative self-starter with an interest in writing and creating engaging style content around global trends, scenes and young designers. This is a hands-on role and the right candidate will be given responsibility for individual projects and be a key part of the Culture Stories team. We will help you develop your talent and passion for creative writing and interviewing.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Supporting a small, super-dedicated team
- Conducting research around independent and interesting style personalities
- Contributing creatively to the website’s style content strategy
- Liaising with interviewees for style profiles
- Conducting interviews for style profiles and articles around London
- Assisting with creative ideas and styling for article photography
- Conceptualising, pitching and planning creative style articles
- Assisting with administrative tasks as they might relate to style content creation

Skills and Experience Required:
- Available two days a week
- Strong interest in ethical retail, emerging style scenes and independent design
- A keen eye and real interest in design, fashion and personal style
- Passion for aesthetics, culture and art
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Positive attitude coupled with the self-confidence to tackle new challenges
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to adapt quickly
- Attention to detail, especially in high-pressure situations
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and plan efficiently
- Impeccable written and oral communication skills
- A creative mind and ability to pitch new ideas and projects
- Previous practical or educational experience in creative writing
- Language skills are of course an added bonus!
