ABOUT THE US AND THE ROLE
We are a new nutrition, health and fitness and lifestyle start-up looking to expand our team and operations. This will be a key role in a team of three who work closely together on branding, retail sales, our social media accounts, email campaigns, our website and events. We are currently working developing a number of events and launching our eCommerce store and require an energetic, smart and creative person to join us to deliver a number of key projects. We need someone who can take ownership, lead, deliver and manage.You will responsible for creating engaging and visually strong marketing campaigns that effectively drive online sales. This includes contributing and developing ideas, sourcing and editing images and graphics, and building email marketing campaigns.Managing web content, including banners and other images, formatting and posting product descriptions and blog entries, creating new pages and updating the product database.Assisting with web development and site maintenance. This includes contributing ideas to improve visitor numbers, conversion rate and other KPI’s, helping to plan changes, monitoring the work of web developers and testing the results.Tracking and reporting on the effectiveness of campaigns and changes through Google Analytics.Ensuring that all the above is carried out with a strong focus on hitting sales targets.As a member of a small team, this role is dynamic and will involve input into other areas of the business. Flexibility is key.
We are looking for a hard-working, talented and intelligent person who can think on their feet and is a good team-player. You will be goal-oriented, have a good all-around set of technical and creative skills and a can-do attitude.
At least two years of e-commerce experience is required and a track record of hitting e-commerce sales targets.Technical aptitude. You will need to be technically-minded, able to read and organise a spreadsheet, be prepared to learn basic code (if you don’t know any HTML already) and have experience with and talent for Adobe apps, such as InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.Fashion, retail and health knowledge. Formal qualifications and specialist knowledge in this area would be a bonus but are not necessary. You will learn a lot about the above and it is important you are open to new challenges. You will are implicitly a brand ambassador.Other characteristics. You will need to be creative (especially visually), sales-focused, hard-working, organised, well-presented, eloquent, intelligent, and a good communicator via email and telephone.
