Trainee Recruitment Consultant - Public sector

Job description

Critical Project Resourcing is a thriving recruitment business based in the centre of Sevenoaks. We recruit to a range of markets and are currently in the process of expanding the busy Public Sector side of the business.

Recent Growth in the sector, means we have an additional position available.

Our Public Sector consultants recruit for temporary and contract staff to work with Local Authorities across the UK. The roles that we cover are varied and range from Housing and Benefits staff to Highways Engineers, ICT professionals, and Town Planners. No two days in this side of the business are ever the same.

The skills required to cover the Public Sector area of the business are different from many other recruitment roles. While the role does require a certain amount of sales ability, it is more important that consultants have the ability to work quickly and efficiently, prioritising their workload and sourcing suitable candidates for roles more quickly than our competitors. Public Sector consultants need to be excellent at multi-tasking and have the ability to move quickly between tasks as different needs arise throughout the day. Organisation and time management are crucial skills for any consultant looking to pursue a career in Public Sector recruitment. Those who utilise these skills best will see their earnings increase more quickly.

Critical Project Resourcing offers a dedicated training programme to trainee consultants, which offers consultants the opportunity to learn 'on the job’. You will begin recruiting for suitable candidates from day one, and over time will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to work independently and to manage your own workload. If you are looking for a career in recruitment but do not see yourself as a sales person, then Public Sector recruitment could be for you.

Whilst you will quickly learn the basic skills needed to be successful, you will continue to learn throughout your career and over the coming months and years will have the opportunity to progress through an established career path, with increasing responsibilities and financial returns. The most successful consultants will also have the opportunity to take on management responsibilities as their career progresses.

We are looking to hear from graduates or candidates who would consider themselves to be of 'graduate calibre’. You will need to be outgoing, enthusiastic and quick and eager to learn.

Make every future a success.
