HOLT is a value-based, return on capital framework proprietary to Credit Suisse.  HOLT provides an objective view of over 20,000 companies in 65 countries worldwide using a rigorous methodology that examines accounting information, converts it to cash and then values that cash.  The HOLT corporate performance framework is derived from the adjusted income statement and balance sheet data that converts cash-based measure of performance that more closely approximates the underlying economics of the business.  The corporate performance framework is the foundation for the HOLT valuation model – an objective, long-term valuation discounted cash flow model.  Embedded in the valuation model is a company specific life-cycle framework, which forecasts baseline long-term patterns of change in economic returns and growth, using empirical research on how thousands of companies with similar characteristics have performed in the past.

We have an opening for Associate position.  We are looking for a candidate with passion for the market and interest in learning and applying our advanced equity valuation framework.  You will gain exposure to multiple global industries, interact with numerous areas of the bank and support strategic Credit Suisse initiatives for key buy side clients.  We primarily cover listed equities, both US and Global, but you will gain exposure to securities across the entire capital structure.

Responsibilities:

As a HOLT Sector Specialist/Research Liaison Associate, your responsibilities may include the following:
· Develop a deep understanding of the HOLT valuation framework and be able to communicate the benefits and explain any differences to fundamental Research Analysts
· Maintain research models in HOLT Lens. This includes liaising with key stakeholders including Research Analysts and Associate Analysts, HOLT Linker Support team, HOLT Sector Specialist team and IT. Requires an understanding of the HOLT model, Rave (research database), accounting and valuation
· Assist analysts with making their models HOLT compliant, utilizing HOLT Linker and Rave
· Assist Research to incorporate a HOLT section in initiations and ad hoc research reports
· Provide training on HOLT for incoming analysts
· Help facilitate joint marketing between HOLT Sector Specialists and Research analysts
· Prepare status/usage reports to communicate to Research and HOLT management
· Drive integration of HOLT, Research and Sales

Qualifications :  Credit Suisse HOLT is looking for exceptional Associate candidates to join their HOLT Sector Specialist team. Strong financial and accounting skills, knowledge of valuation techniques, and a keen interest in capital markets are required. Interested candidates must have a BS degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics with 2-5 years of relevant work experience. MBA degrees preferred. Other analytical majors considered if strong course work or professional experience in accounting or finance.  CFA or CPA a plus.  Credit Suisse is noted for the diversity of its employees, and seeks candidates with a common set of abilities:
· Strong knowledge of accounting and finance (CPA or CFA a plus)
· 2-5 years relevant industry (finance/research/accounting) experience. MBA a plus
· Keen interest in capital markets

· Candidates should be self-motivated and team-oriented
