The Advanced Execution Services team at Credit Suisse is well known as the pioneer of algorithmic trading on Wall Street, and to this day commands pride of place among the leaders of the industry.
Responsibilities:
· The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for researching and improving the quantitative performance of the trading strategies. Microstructure research, market impact analysis, fills rate analysis, etc. Knowledge gleaned from this research will in turn be used to improve the general performance of all the trading strategies, as well as make them more consistent and rein in outlier behavior.
· The Researcher will contribute to adapting existing strategies to new markets and new asset classes, as well as to the design and analyze new trading strategies as well as signal generation, optimization, risk safeguard design, etc.
· The Researcher will be responsible for communication with the Algo development teams, the client research team and our counterparts globally. As such communication skills are critical for this role.

Skills and Background:
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or other similar quantitative field.
The candidate must be comfortable and productive in a Linux environment.
Proficiency in R (or Matlab or some statistical scripting language) is a must.
Some expertise in C++ is expected.
· 2+ years of experience in the Finance Industry.
· 2+ years experience with Algorithmic Trading.
· 2+ years of Quantitative
· Research experience
· Buy Side experience is preferred
· Strong communication skills
