Description:

Our unit supports the industry standard software development tools and complex products that are used by the whole Credit Suisse IT Community to run all software development projects in the bank. These are, but are not limited to, tools like Atlassian Jira and Confluence, Jenkins, Artifactory, CLM, HP Quality Center and Subversion as well as in-house developed solutions integrating many services into one. We support bank strategic development platform - Odyssey. Our products are used by nearly 15 000 IT professionals in the bank.

Main responsibilities will be to:

· Manage and provide expertise on our infrastructure, operational environments and engineered products.
· Overall responsibility for keeping platform running. The work may involve creation of new software as well as usage of 3rd party off-the-shelf software products to modify and integrate them into the solution.
· Develop code and write automation tests in various technologies.
· Advise community on a number of technologies like: .NET. Java, maven, nugget, nodejs.
· Assess impact of new changes and releases on the operational environment.
· Solve customer's problems/issues and being a Subject Matter Expert on tools configuration, integration and usage.
· Run various side projects inside organization related to process and technical area changes.
· Work with internal stakeholders to shape the vision as well as gather requirements for the system.
· Collaborate closely with developers to assure new services are properly handed-over into operations.
· Recommend and implement DevOps / release engineering process improvements or systems hardening.
· Create and update product-/process documents and knowledge-base.

Desired profile

An ideal candidate would be an IT passionate with:

·  Outstanding linux skills and wide systems administration experience (e.g. linux, tomcat, apache, nagios, postgresql, oracle, etc.).
·  Thorough web development experience (preferably PHP but can be Python, Ruby, Perl, Java or .NET) – at least 3 years.
·  Good networking knowledge.
·  Very good troubleshooting skills in a complex environment. Understanding of common issues/alerts and their troubleshooting in a distributed and global environment.
·  Experience in performance tweaking.
·  Knowledge about software development methodologies - SCM.
·  Familiarity with software development tools: SVN, GIT, Jenkins and similar.
·  Willingness to take responsibility and initiative.
·  Ability to quickly acquire expertise in a range of software development technologies and tools.
·  Good English language skills is a must.
·  Bash scripting skills.
