Compliance Policy & Training Specialist

General Counsel Division provides legal and compliance support to all business divisions are Shared Services functions across all regions of the bank.  Our goal is to protect the reputation of Credit Suisse by ensuring that employees have the necessary tools and know-how to comply with all applicable internal policies and external rules and regulations.  We support all areas of the business as they undertake the important tasks of managing their legal and regulatory risks.  In addition to our advisory role, we develop and issue policies, conduct compliance training and perform monitoring and surveillance activities

 

 

In this role you will:

· Provide policy, procedures and training support to Compliance Coverage officers
· Assist Coverage Officers in drafting new or reviewing and updating policies, procedures, manuals and guidelines. 
· Assist Authors in the policy consultation process (e.g., gathering and integrating stakeholder feedback) and issuance process (working with the bank’s Policy Desk)
· Manage the timely renewal of existing policies and procedures.
· Review policies and procedures for inconsistencies internally and between documents, test links, and rationalize policies and related documents to eliminate duplication and overlap
· Assist Authors in developing training materials, organizing training sessions and gathering required documentation for training tracking.
· Assist Coverage Officers with follow-up and tracking of mandatory training. 
· Enhance training records and procedures to ensure accuracy, quality and attendance, as necessary
· Other general compliance responsibilities.

· Have solid communications skills; can communicate clearly and uses concise explanations
· Assumes accountability for their tasks and results.
· Is an engaged team member and has a positive attitude towards team work, but able to work independently
· Proactive and energetic
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
· Desirable knowledge / experience includes
· Knowledge and understanding of compliance issues in financial services businesses and processes
· Project Management experience

Education

· College degree required; Law degree a plus
