This is a BA role in the IT Operations - Product Management function. We provide products and services to our IT staff, specifically infrastructure and application support teams, to help them manage their IT assets enterprise wide. These product areas include monitoring, event management, performance management, capacity management, and automation.
As the BA is often the one speaking to users and stakeholders, it's critical they know the product area well and feel comfortable speaking on behalf of Product Management. Knowledge buildup requires great investment on both sides of the fence, so we are looking for someone who is driven to learn with the goal of becoming an SME in the domain
Responsibilities:
• Requirements management - Gather, detail, prioritize, and actively communicate progress back to users
• Plan and communicate scope for upcoming releases by engaging with key stakeholders
• Act as voice of the customer to provide input into product roadmaps
• Manage UAT - Write test cases, manage and report progress, ensure stakeholder sign off
• Consultancy services - Provide guidance and information to potential users on the products we offer, and how we can best meet their use cases.
You Offer...
• Understanding of system and application monitoring and event management
• Familiarity with open source and/or enterprise monitoring/performance management tools
• Background in a infrastructure or application support role (e.g. DBA / Sys Admin / App Support)
• Experience with agile software development methodologies (scrum, kanban)
• Business Analysis experience - Writing use cases and test cases, managing and prioritizing requirements, managing UAT
• Experience with jira, confluence, or other requirements management / info tracking tools
• ITIL certifications (or other ITSM process certifications)
