This is a unique opportunity to join the trading floor of a major European bank in London. The role is within the Debt Optimisation & Distribution team. The teams are relatively small and the role can be quite broad. There is a good scope to contribute to the existing work of the team and make your own mark if successful.
Key Responsibilities
Working closely with the Secondary Loan Optimisation and Trading team, your role involves the preparation of sub-participation and non-disclosure agreements; checking secondary trade folders to make sure they contain all relevant documentation; assisting with the development of power point presentations and assisting with Excel spreadsheet reports
Assisting the Credit Risk Insurance team in: Monthly exposure reporting, monthly DOD reporting, internal and external presentations and liaising with deal teams and brokers on individual CRI opportunities
Assist the origination team in preparing pitches by way of: collecting financial data on companies, assisting with power point presentations and Realisation of Info Memoranda.
Assisting the distribution team using Debtdomain database when inviting banks into a transaction or for reporting/search purposes, updating comparable files and helping the team to prepare for bank meetings.
Assisting the project finance team by searching for comparable transactions and preparing syndication opinions.

Candidate criteria
Minimal education level
Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
Academic qualification / Speciality
You will either be a university graduate with a minimum classification of 2:1 or equivalent or an undergraduate currently studying, predicted a minimum classification of 2:1 or equivalent
Required skills
You will have a good theoretical understanding of the risks involved in trading credit products, including derivatives. You will have an ability to analyse a problem and propose solutions, an ability to build strong relationships whilst maintaining independence.
Technical skills required
You will have strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel VBA, pivot tables and an ability to automate functions for reporting or analysis purposes whilst maintain existing tactical applications
