We are Craved, curators of craft food and drink made in Britain. We’re an e-commerce start-up which exists to bring our customers the tastiest and most unique food and drink in the country and support independent British producers.

About the role

We are currently recruiting an Operations Intern to join the team, initially for the run-up to Christmas. This is a start-up so you will have to work extremely hard and thrive on learning new skills. It’s therefore crucial that you, in addition to your skills in operations and logistics, have real desire to work in a scrappy start-up environment. In return you have the opportunity to make your mark on a fast-growing start-up.

About You

Generally the candidate we’re looking for will have:

• The grit and passion for getting involved in a fast-paced start-up environment where priorities change quickly
• An obsession with food and a strong desire to supporting our independent craft producers
• A natural ability to learn new skills quickly and take ownership of projects
• An ability to organise their own work with a process-driven approach and a meticulous attention to detail

Specifically, you will be expected to:

• Pick and pack orders and dispatch them to customers in a timely manner
• Receive, and check incoming stock, and ensure that the warehouse is well-organised
• Assist in assessing stock status, re-order quantities, and expiring stock
• Help to ensure that operational processes are followed
• Assist in customer service and help to build excellent relationships with customers
• Ensure excellent food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Contribute to developing our operations strategy based on observations and customer feedback
