The Coventry are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join the growing Finance team as a Financial Analyst to work as part of a key function within the organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to join the team at our Head Office site, based at Binley Business park.

The Financial Planning team is responsible for the Board-approved financial forecasts including the five-year Corporate Plan and quarterly P&L forecasts. It is also responsible for maintaining detailed projections for the mortgage and savings books as well as the effective interest rate model which determines how mortgage interest is recognised in the Society’s profit & loss account over time.

This role will support the Financial Planning Manager with the preparation of financial forecasts and support the savings team with the provision of pricing analysis and maintain the savings forecast in QRM.

There will also be the opportunity to support the team in analysing retail savings cashflows, liquidity levels and funding plans.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, ideally in a maths or science subject. A strong knowledge of Excel, at least to intermediate level, is required.

We are looking for an individual who is comfortable working with large amounts of data, is able to think through the implications of various planning changes and has a good understanding or interest in financial services products.

The role holder will also be required to present results to the Finance Director so an ability to communicate clearly and effectively is important.

No previous accounting experience is required, but strong numerical and analytical skills are essential. It would also be advantageous but not essential if you are qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification e.g ACA, ACCA, CIMA
