An enthusiastic, bright and entrepreneurial person to join our small team at Covalence, a start-up strategic consultancy based in London. We want people who answer an unhesitating ‘yes’ to these questions:

What is Covalence?

Covalence is a start-up strategy consultancy with a focus on work, workplace, property, user experience, technology and innovation.

Driven by data
We create data-led property and workplace strategies for our clients. Our core strength is in the use of detailed analytics from a variety of data sources to model how your real estate is used, to profile people’s workstyles, and to understand the real requirements of the business.

Extensive experience
Our team has worked with clients of all sizes – from FTSE 100 global corporations to 30-person companies. We have experience across a wide range of industries, from banking, finance and legal to media, retail, technology, and mining.

We are passionate about what we do, and measured in our delivery. We believe that the buildings we occupy can and should be drivers of innovation and productivity.

We launched in 2015. So while we have some history, we are still working on how we deliver our consultancy, our tools, approach and techniques. We are looking for outstanding candidates who love making things happen and want to play a significant part in creating something new.

What you’ll be doing
We’re looking for an all-rounder to get involved across the whole business. So you will be doing a mix of…

Client work
Client-facing work, including time on-site spent interviewing senior leadership, running workshops, collecting data, working with the project team
Office-based work, including data crunching, coming up with recommendations and creating the final strategy documents

Evolving the business
Bringing your own ideas to how we create new tools, approaches and develop new service lines

Business development and marketing
Helping find new opportunities, develop relationships and partnerships
Contributing to pitch and proposal documents
Developing our marketing materials and online presence

Other stuff
We’re a small start-up, so we all muck-in with the less exciting stuff – from topping up the teabags in the office to dealing with the admin and logistics for project delivery

Profil recherché

Skills and experience required

Experience of problem solving
We don’t need you to have worked in a consultancy before, but you will need to be able to show us experience of problem solving and your approach to answering complex questions.

Data analysis
We work with a lot of data and information in our projects, and so you will need to be comfortable analysing both qualitative and quantitative data.

Inquisitive and curious mind
Part of what we do for our clients involves finding the right question to ask, the right approach to the problem they have. You will need to be inquisitive and curious to find new ways of helping our clients.

You will be balancing multiple projects and tasks, so will need to be good at keeping on top of things and managing your time.

Good at communicating
Not only do we need to create the right ideas and concepts for our clients, but we need to persuade them of the business case for change, and help the project team sell our ideas to senior leadership. You will need to be good at verbal and written communication to help us work with our clients.

Passion for innovating
Not everything we do has a template or has been done before, so you will need to work with us on our tools and approach.

As the team are out and about at client sites, we are not always in the same place. You will need to be good at motivating yourself and making the most of the time when the team are together.

You will be familiar with Microsoft Office and willing to learn how to use all the other tools we use.
