Calling all typists… Are you well-organised and resourceful with excellent English language skills? Cosmic People have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Typed Notes Operator supporting students in lectures, seminars and discussions.

About the role:
As a Typed Notes Operator, you will work at the vibrant University of Wolverhampton campuses providing typed lecture notes on behalf of disabled students.
The role is within University term time and will suit someone who can commit to regular part time weekly hours, with a minimum commitment of three full days per week.
Full training will be provided during a 5 day in-house course which will include a formal assessment and evaluation of skills and suitability. Successful candidates will commence the role from early October.
Assessment days- Weds 26th Aug, Weds 9th Sept & Fri 11th Sept.
Training dates - Mon 14th Sept-Fri 18th Sept / Weds 23rd Sept-Tues 29th Sept
(Please note the assessment and training days form part of the selection process and are therefore unpaid)
The successful applicants will be:
- Able to touch type accurately at speed (minimum 40wpm)
- Educated to degree level or have equivalent professional experience.
- Have a high level of English language, spelling, grammar and vocabulary.
- Well-organised with a resourceful, autonomous approach to work.
- Able to interpret and prioritise important points from information given by a speaker.
- Reliable, punctual and resilient.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy and empathy to others.
- Have a genuine desire to make a difference and help others.
- Live within easy access of central Wolverhampton/Walsall.
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.
