Intern Opportunities at Corset story–Fashion Product Department (voluntary)

Job description

We need two enthusiastic and self-motivated part-time volunteer interns to join the small product team at Corset Story. We offer flexibility in working days in a fast growing company which is on the verge of launching some key new international concepts using modern technologies and innovative marketing methods. If you love fashion and want to help out in a team where there is detailed guidance and allot going on.
One of the interns will be focusing their placement on product technology and the other will be focusing on product development.
Within the product technology area you will want to be exposed to the creation of flat technical garment and accessory drawings, measurements and constructions.
Within the product development area you will be interested in learning more about fabrics, trims, supplier interaction and sample tracking / ordering.
Both will be directly reporting into and guided by existing members of staff who will ensure that there is a regular flow of relevant activity which is reflective of the actual requirements of a company like Corset Story.
You are preferably based within easy travel distance from Warwick or Leamington Spa.
If you are highly motivated, have studied for or gained some experience in Fashion related topics and are looking for the right platform to learn and share to increase your knowledge and experience you are invited to apply.

Responsibilities:
• Bring enthusiasm, curiosity and energy.
• Help your mentor with day to day activities in the respective fields.
• Play a supporting role for other Corset Story Concepts and actively seek opportunities to be helpful in the growth and progress of those.

Although this is an unpaid volunteer internship, travel expenses and lunch allowance will be covered.

You will be required for a minimum of 3 full days per week for a period of 8-10 weeks initially. There is potential for this to turn into a paid position.
