Cornwell’s Chemists are currently looking for a qualified pharmacy dispenser to join our team at our Beaconside branch, working full time. The working pattern for the role will be flexible and will be discussed at interview.

Further training and support will be provided to the ideal candidate to help achieve further qualifications. This vacancy is for an enthusiastic individual, wanting to learn new skills and further their development in a community pharmacy environment. You will need to have a valid healthcare assistant qualification and previous experience of working in a community pharmacy.

Ensure understanding and compliance with Cornwell’s Chemists Standard Operating Procedures.
Ensure all prescriptions are dispensed and endorsed accurately and in a timely manner.
Respect confidentiality of information concerning customers in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
Keep up to date with current pharmacy practice, new drugs and their uses.
Ensure high standards of dispensary stock management
Ensure all orders are checked off accurately, and dispensary stock put out with care
Ensure that the dispensary projects a professional image at all times
To ensure that customers receive excellent service.
To dispense medication as stated on prescriptions, maintaining accurate dispensing records and ensuring that the medication is accurately labelled to ensure medicines are correctly and safely supplied and labelled.
Deal with customer complaints and dispensing errors promptly and efficiently in accordance with company policy
Develop and maintain good relationships with local surgeries, nursing homes and local bodies
