Supplier Quality Engineer (m/f) Stamping

Job Description

·  Maintain supply base within the category Stamping technology (stamping, deep drawing, springs) and Continuous Quality Improvement processes (e.g. heat treatment, welding)

·  Plan, initiate, implement and control/track the effective supplier quality assurance measures along the complete process chain

·  Release of suppliers for the respective supplier panel

·  Responsibility to drive supplier improvement programs and supplier coach activities within the category

·  Develop suppliers to fulfill the internal Continental Automotive requirements and external customer requirements

·  Preparation and performing management meetings with suppliers

·  Preparation and performing supplier visits, meetings and VDA 6.3 audits (including introduction of new suppliers, locations and technologies)

·  Support for escalation topics (e.g. Red Alert)

·  Evaluation and ranking of the suppliers in terms of performance within the category

·  Negotiation of quality contracts

Job Requirements

·  University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable field

·  Several years of experience preferable within the Automotive industry

·  Experience in application of common quality methods like APQP, FMEA, SPC, Ishikawa, 8D

·  Good knowledge in Audits (VDA 6.3) and project management skills

·  Self-reliant working style, ability to work under pressure, willingness to take responsibility, analytical thinking

·  Business fluent in written and spoken English, German language skills desirable

·  Willingness to travel internationally (ca.30%)
