Job Description

Provide Quality Engineering knowledge and skills to assist in the analysis of ContiTech Thermopol’s manufacturing system at all stages to maximize the quality of the processes itself and the products it produces.

1. Quality activities in a manufacturing environment including quality systems improvement, documentation of quality requirements.
2. Use the tools of quality and other statistical methods to solve manufacturing problems.
3. Provide analysis and judgment to production regarding acceptability of product for customer use.
4. Support new product introduction and investigation activities including review of PFMEA and initial control plans, including participation in APQP and NPI.
5. Review control plans and gauges for assembly and for improvements. Direct Gauge R&R studies to assure effective gauge implementation and improvement.
6. Problem solving analyses for customer and supplier defects, create countermeasure reports, and present as required. Utilize 5Why, 8D and other similar analysis methods to assure deep analysis and system wide countermeasure implementation. Participate with SQM/SGE on supplier side in the completion of supplier corrective action reports
7. Participate in the Internal Auditing Program.
8. Provide expertise in SPC concepts including process stability, capability, and reaction to “statistically out of control” situations.
9. Assist in preparation of PPAP documentation.
10. Coordinate the containment activity for controlling suspect product issues as a result of internal or external sources.
11. Participate in and assist in effective analysis and corrective measures for scrap and internal defects.

Desired profile

Job Requirements

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar.

Specific Skills & Abilities:
• Control Plan, FMEA, Process Flow Chart, MSA, SPC, 8D.
• Statistical software- Minitab.
• Automotive industry experience and familiarity with TS16949 standard.
• MS Office programs and SAP ERP.
• Knowledge of APQP,VDA.

Internal or External Vocational Experience: Several years of professional experience in the field of quality management in the automotive industry.
