With worldwide more than 1,300 engineers and specialists, we design and manufacture complex high technology mechatronic products and systems for small series and niche applications at 14 locations around the world.

For our Engineering Location Timisoara we search for dynamic and motivated people to join our Continental Engineering Services Romania department.

Our work domains:
•Embedded Software, OOP Software, Hardware Development, Signal Integrity Study, Power Electronics, Mechanical Design, Simulations, System Engineering and Integration, Functional Testing, Prototype and Sample build and of course Classical and Agile Project Management.

For our newly created Electric and Hybrid Propulsion System Team we are looking for Senior Mechanical Designers.

Portfolio:
•Challenging housings for Electronic Control Units for Electric and Hybrid Propulsion Systems with Thermal dissipation solutions for die casting enclosures;
•Custom made Integration variants of mechanical assemblies in restricted car body spaces;

Main activities and responsibilities:

·  Designing plastic and sheet metal solutions: modeling products and creating drawings for customers and suppliers;

·  Computing tolerances calculations;

·  Creating mechanical/electrical interfaces for layout activity;

·  Creating DFMEA analysis;

·  Updating SAP documents database;

·  Interfacing Prototype Shop;

·  The CAD tools used inside the team are mainly Creo2 and Catia V5.

A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization.

Desired profile

Job Requirements

Mandatory:

·  University degree in Mechanical Engineering;

·  More than 3 year experience in Mechanical Design;

·  Relevant experience using CAD tools: Creo2 and/or Catia V5;

·  Knowledge of technologies: injection molding, die-cast, stamping and punching, machining, rapid prototyping;

·  Knowledge of design requirements for plastic and sheet-metal parts;

·  Knowledge of tolerance calculation methods;

·  Good communication skills, well organized, attentive to details, team spirit

·  Innovative spirit;

·  English language Advanced.

It is an advantage:

·  Thermal management;

·  German language.
