Overview
Responsible for loading material supply to drive our supply base, both internal and external, to provide material to support the production plan, while maintaining minimum inventory and achieving inventory turn goals. Also responsible for coordinating the production floor schedules with customer ship requirements.

Core Responsibilities
• Initiate and review material releases for components to support the production plan (18 month horizon).
• Coordinate with Design, Sales, Customer Admin, Operations, Logistics and others to ensure customer demands are effectively met.
• Plan production schedule and monitor operations to ensure shipments are covered. Actively participate in the production teams daily meetings.
• Ensures effective implementation of engineering changes and minimize obsolescence on PPAP runs, part number changes, new suppliers and effectivity date changes (E&O avoidance).
• Accurately prepares requested reports and required documentation in a timely manner.
• Monitors and controls inventory to insure targets are met (Inventory Turns). Maintain accurate assembly inventory mananging backflush transactions.
• Actively participates in cost reduction, continuous improvement, good housekeeping, and team activities. Includes the Continental Business System process for continuous imporovement.
• Assist with the coordination, execution and analysis of Physical Inventory and results.
• Assist with monitoring assigned area for compliance to material control policies
• Understand Plant Constraints (Build Rates, Machine Rates, Cure Times, etc…) and apply that knowledge to the weekly schedule.

Basic Qualifications
• Experience with production operations and specifically with production planning and scheduling.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience with business systems (SAP) desired.
