Core Responsibilities
•Work on problems of moderate scope with limited direction
•Performs testing and troubleshooting of engineering tasks
•Gathers, maintains and records engineering specific information
-Provides support for production operations equipment and processes

Additional Responsibilities
•Lead manufacturing continuous improvement activities including cycle time and scrap reduction, first pass yield, uptime, safety and productivity improvements
•Perform system/tool design/modification/integration as required for improvement activities
•Work with outside suppliers in the development, purchase, installation, debug and runoff of new equipment or additions to existing equipment
•Train operators in proper operation of equipment
•Write/maintain work instructions, troubleshooting guides and contribute to Production Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Control Plans
•Troubleshoot/fix mechanical and electrical systems problems

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering
• Strong analytical skills (SPC, GD&T)
• Good Personal Computer (PC) skills
• PLC (Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens) experience
• CAD (AutoCad or Inventor) experience
• Vision systems experience
• Robotics/drives experience
• 3 years manufacturing engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in automotive manufacturing engineering preferred
