Job Description
The IT Specialist (m/f) controls, coordinates and supports IT activities for the locations in scope as defined by the Head of local IT. S/he oversees the global aspects of providing IT services based on general guidelines and in accordance with the ContiTech (CT) IT management, the concerns of the locations and the contractual agreements with the IT service provider.
S/he is responsible for planning and operating all IT applications of the locations in correspondence with the CT IT strategy.
Ensure and support business processes (technical and organizational solutions)
· Determination and review of technical requirements of the departments
· Support user departments in dealing with applications and systems
· Actions to ensure compliance with agreed-upon standards
· Identification of synergistic and benefits potential at all levels (Hardware, Software, applications, workplace integration, user authorization
Provide the local IT services for IT Infrastructure, especially:
· IT Service Desk (incl. UHD)
· Desktop Management (“DS”)
· Mail Service Management
· Server Management
· Local Area Network
· Engineering: Interface to Non-DE-Server and –Clients service provider
· Coordinate the procurement of Hardware and Software.
· Ensure the operation of the local data center and implement a contingency plan
· Administration and support of the network access.
· Control external provider in terms of contractually agreed-upon service level / performance standards
· Examination of offers submitted by IT service providers relative to the plant and in the context of operative planning
· Action to ensure the cooperation between IT service providers and local personnel in IT infrastructure projects
Consultancy of the management and the departments
· Advising of user departments / users in conjunction with the replacement of existing IT systems
· Advice on questions touching on data protection and data security
· Advising of users on matters related to emergency planning
Desired profile
Job Requirements
· Completed study in the field of Information Technology or comparable
· Several years of work experience in the above mentioned area
· Experience in implementing IT Projects preferable
· Experience in Windows Server Management and Windows Client OS
· Experience in Microsoft office and client applications
· Knowledge in Desktop Management (SW Distribution, Remote Control, Asset management)
· Local Area Network basic knowledge and hands on support
· Knowledge about IT Service Management (ITSM) concepts and processes
· Fluent in German and Englisch spoken and written
· Well developed communicative skills, ability to work in team
· Ability to work local circumstances into the corporate context
· Ability to think analytically and abstractly
