The Continental Technology Center in Hannover-Stöcken is seeking an intern (m/f) starting mid-November 2015 to support ongoing activities in the Tire Carving Department. The duration of the internship should be three to (ideally) six months.
Job description:
· Visualization and description of specific processes pertaining the prototype tire development
· Support in efforts to automate and optimize the development of prototype tires
· Further development and optimization of current practices and equipment
· Support the introduction of new methods for prototype building for tire testing
· Evaluation of new test methods based on the focus of your studies and interests (e.g. measurement technology, statistical test planning, morphological analysis, etc.)
· Analysis of test results and data of prototype orders
· Possibility of writing a Bachelor or Master thesis after finishing the internship
Desired profile
Job Requirements
· Student (m/f) in the field of engineering or natural science (e.g. mechanical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering, engineering management)
· Successfully completed first half of degree program (at least 4 semesters)
· Experience with test planning and programming Macros in Excel is desired, but not required
· Confident in using the usual MS Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Good English and German skills(written and spoken)
· High levels of commitment and productivity, flexibility and good communication skills
