Purpose:
Provides support to marketing and sales staff in the planning and execution of competitive analysis, marketing/sales collateral (hard copy and electronic), and product rationalization. This position is a 12 month intern with possible extension.
Essential Duties:
• Assists marketing team in research activities for price/performance comparison at brick/mortar, internet sellers and market size/trends. This is at product level and market/application level with some typical projects being based on, but not limited to: Agriculture, Construction and Paver industries.
• Assists marketing team in competitive research for new product performance, placement and tracking.
• Review and update marketing
• Sales data mining for trend recognition (positive/negative) based on product, channel and market
• Additional administrative support for pricing, commodity tracking, etc.
Responsibilities:
This position requires someone who is very detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills. This position will interact internally with product managers, sales managers, IT staff, product engineers and externally with advertising agencies and marketing partners as projects dictate. Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision and takes initiative to ensure project success.

Basic Qualifications:
Undergraduate pursuit in Business, Marketing or Communications preferred
Junior standing preferred
Well organized, detail-oriented thinker
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on deadline
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with proficiency at Microsoft Excel.
Enthusiasm for learning the Industrial marketplace and distribution channel management
