The CBS Responsible for VED position is open in the Chassis and Safety Division in Iasi.

Within Chassis & Safety Division your engineering skills can make a difference in the development of exciting new automotive products and technologies. Chassis and Safety Division in Iasi contributes to the Continental Automotive research and development effort over three main branches:
• Systems and Technology where tomorrow’s Chassis and Safety products are foreseen and integrated into highly automated vehicle driving functionalities
• Vehicle Dynamics Business Unit provides highly advanced braking technologies for all vehicle types, usable in vehicle ranging from small cars right to transportation vehicles.
• Steering Segment, modern Electric Power Steering systems are developed, making the driving experience for the driver safer and at the same time, reducing the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
• Passive Safety and Sensorics concentrates in Iasi in developing a state of the art active body roll stabilization system that reduces the body roll of the vehicle and enhances the lateral vehicle stability when cornering.
• Advanced Driver Assistance Systems is providing both sensors (from simple ultrasonic parking sensors to radars and advanced stereo or surround view cameras) and computation platforms for running safety, maneuvering and cruising functionalities.

Job Description

As a CBS Responsible for VED in our group your responsibilities will be:

• Is responsible to identify (crossfunctional) lower level improvement potential and to initiates and follows-up improvement projects for all Continental Business Solutions (CBS) methods and principles.
• Is responsible to follow the Kaikaku and Kaizen approach.
• Is responsible to support projects for CBS in R&D with specific methods and methodologies (e.g. 5S, Value Stream Mapping and Design and Process mapping, Visual Management, Standard work, Problem solving, LCA, SMED, TPM, jidoka, Lean product design, Frontloading, Gemba approach, workplace design, target driven policy deployment, network collaboration, Obeya, Scrum, WIP and Flow management etc).
• Is responsible to ensure active involvement in company wide CBS Network.
• Contributes to align improvement activities and resources in the Plant or R&D, whenever deviation is visible.
• Offer supports for specific KPI for measurement of CBS roadmap implementation. In case of nonconformity, he/she supports the definition of corrective actions, and implements them.
• Contributes to enforce communication in order to improve visibility and philosophy of CBS.
• On the side, you will have to perform some technical activities (testing and validating different solutions).

A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization

• Bachelor degree or master degree in engineering ((i.e. Telecommunication, Automation and Computer science, Informatics, Electronics, Electrical engineering, Mechatronics ...) and/or in business or related area.
• Strong analytical skills and structured way of working

• Presentation skills, product knowledge, project management skills, tools and techniques.
• Confidence in communication to internal or external customers.
